Pisces Season Astrology: Why This Is the Season of Joy

Embracing Joy in Pisces Season

As a Kabbalistic Astrologer, I have written on the importance of embracing joy in Pisces Season. (Remember we all have all the signs in us, and in some part of our chart, so somewhere in your life Pisces reigns.)

But I am bringing it up again as it’s really fundamental. In fact, the Kabbalists teach that choosing joy this month is *the* assignment. Sounds like a fun one we will easily handle, right? Especially this month, remember that our feelings are not facts or final, as Rilke writes. Remember that we are choosing how we act, what and who we listen to, and what our head has on repeat.

Yes, I know it can be hard to change our thoughts and improve our mood, but that is the work, my star. And yes, of course, that is the work every day, but as the Kabbalists teach, Pisces holds a special power, and because of that, choosing joy and where we focus has longer-lasting effects.

The Special Power of Pisces: The Final Sign of the Zodiac

More about that special Pisces power…

Of course all signs are important in our process, however the sign of Pisces has an extra potent power in that it is the last sign of the zodiac. As the final sign, it holds the wisdom of all the previous signs and is also the filter of everything we have learned. Itโ€™s the final sign before we start a new cycle of Aries, so itโ€™s where we are sorting and sifting what weโ€™ve experienced to choose what we leave behind and what we keep.

As a sign linked with mercy and love, it is going to do so with loving eyes, but as itโ€™s linked with Neptune, the planet of illusions, it may not always be seeing things as they are. As we are finishing up Saturn in Pisces just before Pisces season begins, the lessons of the past three years are very present. That learning is to be used going forward. Same too for the ending of the 14 years of Neptune in Pisces that finished just before Pisces season too. Itโ€™s been lessons in limitations and also in delusions.

This Pisces season we start anew, notably wiser. However, as it is Pisces season, and we have been through a lot a lot, what residue do we need to leave behind that we havenโ€™t? Itโ€™s a final look at those years of lessons, and what we are leaving behind before we start the new year of Aries. And as we have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Pisces season, the first since 1989 and a historic one at 0 degrees of Aries, itโ€™s a total new era not seen in human recording.

Endings and Beginnings: Why This Pisces Season Is So Powerful

This makes this Pisces season so powerful. Endings and beginnings live not just next to each other but at the same time. (I mean time is a construct.) What youโ€™re thinking about and being about and doing matters.

Pisces Energy: Strength, Vulnerability, and Presence

Donโ€™t get lost in nothingness, inertia, in taking things (drugs and alcohol) or doing things (avoiding work, making decisions, showing up, being present) because itโ€™s hard. Pisces is a sign of strengthโ€”love and care and vulnerability are powers. Use them.

Plus, the world needs your magic. Do not check out. This is really not the time.

Kabbalistic Astrology: Receiving Your Full Potential

As a Kabbalistic Astrologer* what makes it different (well, one of the ways) is on the word Kabbalah, which means to receive. The idea of understanding our chart is so we can receive everything we can in this lifetime. Our chart is a manual to help us understand ourselves better, both our challenges and gifts, our pains and our joys. Because yes, that is all in our chart. The focus is on you receiving the joy, love and health, abundance, adventures, growth, friends, blessings that are yours because they are there for you. Itโ€™s all in our hands, so that is what we come back to.

Pisces, Cause and Effect, and Karma

We are going to have to get into a word with Pisces as it’s about cause and effect: The K word.

Pisces is a sign that is filtering and processing the cause and effect of our actions before we go into the new year. Itโ€™s no accident that spring cleaning happens in this sign, itโ€™s time to physically get up off our butts and take stock of everything we have and touch, and clean it up. Do we use it? Yes, cool. Are we taking care of it? Do we need to clean it? Yes, then do. We are responsible for everything in our lives, down to that last crumb, which this cleaning not only reminds us of, but has us doing.

Another way to say this is yes, the K word: karma. Pisces is a sign that links to the collective, to all of us. Because yes, our actions and inaction affect all. How are yours? How are you measuring up? And remember, itโ€™s only the measurement of yourself. Your life path and actions are as important as every other person and yet totally unique. There is no other.

Karma is not some out-there force we have no say in or that is done to us. That is another thing about Kabbalistic astrology: our actions in lifetimes near and far are at play in our lives today. And we can also do something about it.

Pisces Season as a Time of Compassion and Connection

Pisces season is a great reminder of that. The power in our hands. The power to be merciful to others when they do wrong. The power to be loving when we are hurt. The power to create and keep going when our faith is tested and challenges appear. Do you share when you have little? Do you share your time and talents, as well as your stuff and money?

Pisces season is where we can feel othersโ€™ pain and our own and see that they are linked. Everything ripples. Everything matters. We each have a part of the whole, and everyone we meet is on our personal life plan.

Final Reflection: Living With Joy and Awareness

How joyful is that? Act accordingly.
