New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra: Fairness is for Everyone

That’s right—everyone. As in each one of us.

Understanding the Solar Eclipse

Let’s dive into what this solar eclipse means for us. If ever there was a time for the following saying it’s eclipses: “the end is in the beginning.” Libra is all about relationships, while solar eclipses shine a light on our ego. New Moons signify fresh beginnings, and the South Node touches on our karma. Eclipses urge us to let go.

See how juicy this cosmic recipe is for October 2nd?

You’re not unfamiliar with these themes. Look around your life—and the world—and you’ll see where the work needs to be done. You may have tried to keep things at bay, but this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra will spell it out clearly, as will the weeks before and after it. Eclipse season can feel messy; things come up and information flows in, piquing our awareness. There can be shocking revelations and wonderful meetings. Fate is doing it’s thing. Libra Themes: Relationships and Justice

As we enter this Libra season, the themes of relationships, justice, fairness, balance, thoughts, beauty, love, creativity, peace, the arts, and luxury take center stage.

It’s worth noting that the root word of luxury is light. We all deserve the light, right? So how did it become a privilege for the few? It’s curious, yet not surprising.

Everything about our cultures and lifestyles is man-made and subject to change. Where we find imbalance becomes untenable. Libra season highlights these issues—just look at the world today. It’s a mixed bag; while things seem dire, there’s also hope. Libra points the way toward balance, equality, and love.

We haven’t been living in harmony. Look at any country or family, and you’ll find struggles. Ask yourself: how fulfilled and joyous are you?

When facing these questions, I often encourage people to pause. Reflect. Feel. Are you sure there are no serious issues to address? Denying them won’t make them disappear, as our world clearly shows.

You deserve to be happy. So does the person next to you, whether at work or on the street.

The Ego and Relationships

A solar eclipse amplifies the ego—the individual you. In Libra, this brings our focus to how we relate to others. It’s an important topic: How do we treat the other? Not just those in our social group or community, but everyone.

That’s where it can get especially funky. That’s where our work lay.

This eclipse is checking our ego in relation to others. It’s about standing firm in our values while also considering those around us. Libras often find themselves caught between different perspectives. The saying, “a friend to everyone is a friend to no one,” holds true here and for all of us in the season. We must also sing our own song, regardless of what others think. This eclipse highlights that.

A healthy ego exists in balance. Too small of an ego can be just as detrimental as one that’s too large. This solar eclipse is asking us to let go of where our ego obstructs our ability to connect with others, paving the way for loving, healthy, and fulfilling relationships.

Ask yourself: Do you feel unworthy of love? Are you pushing people away? Do you truly like yourself and the community around you? Are your values and ideals clear, and are you living in alignment with them? Where do you dim your light to fit in? And how does that affect those around you?

Letting Go and New Beginnings

The close connection to the South Node means it’s time to address long-brewing issues and release what no longer serves us. This eclipse offers a chance to turn the page…but we have to let things go. We have to change and choose different.

New Moons symbolize beginnings. What do you want to start anew in your life? What must you let go of to make that happen?

The cosmos is cheering you on! This eclipse is the final one in this Libra series, offering powerful wisdom to help us move away from what holds us back so we can lead the lives we desire.

Your future self is calling, as are the communities and friendships waiting for you.

The choice is yours, mes amis! Each moment is a possible choice. 😊
