Some thoughts and tips…
I swear to gosh, these next three weeks are going to have more and more anti-establishment, anti-patriarchy, anti-bro messages. I just hope we have more Saoirses standing up to BS so more men can see how ugly and damaging their behavior is to women and, therefore, society in general.
In the coming weeks, we can expect significant shifts in the conversation around women’s rights, inspired by strong figures like Saoirse Ronan. As more individuals stand up against toxic behaviors, it becomes crucial to recognize the role of astrology in shaping our understanding of these societal changes.
It never fails. Ever, never, ever: people’s astrology and the news are so linked, so let’s learn, shall we? This is why I have become more and more connected with astrology: the cosmos is teaching us through each other, so, with grace and kindness, let’s listen, shall we?
The Connection Between Astrology and Current Events
Astrology has a unique way of reflecting our societal dynamics. As we navigate these turbulent times, let’s delve into the latest astrological lessons exemplified by Saoirse Ronan’s elegantly badass appearance on The Graham Norton Show. (Notably it is NOT on the BBC list of clips. Strange…) Is there a word for someone like a ninja who takes out bros? ‘Cause she is that.
WE LOVE AN ARIES WARRIOR BADASS!
Saoirse Ronan: A Badass Aries
Saoirse Ronan, an Aries, recently made headlines for her powerful stand against misogyny. During her appearance, she not only silenced the panel but also conveyed a message of empowerment for women everywhere. With the North Node in Aries, people are being called to realize their highest selves, and Ronan embodies this energy perfectly. As a classic Aries leader, she is showing us all how best to do it. Mars must be so proud! (Also, Mars is in Cancer, a feminine sign. Mamma Saoirse taught everyone a lesson in how to use emotions and heart to deliver the punch for change. That’s a warrior Aries in action. Astrology does not play!)
With the North Node in Aries, all Aries are being directed to become their highest selves. That can take many paths; maybe they have to lose things first, maybe they have to change tracks, etc., but it’s always with the silver lining of their best, most joyous, and fulfilled selves as the result. North Node is beacon, and Aries has it focused on them; indeed, all of us do, in the area of our chart where Aries is, so check your chart.
Now, with her ten words, she not only silenced those guys who hadn’t let her get a word in edgewise, but she dropped the mic on the world. Classic badass leader Aries. Her hand wave at the end was just the best. She was a leader and went for it, and it was for the betterment of all. Classic Aries in all their shining glory. Team Ram, fo sho!
The Role of Saturn and Masculinity
Paul Mescal, another panelist, embodies the traits of Aquarius his sign. As he faces the repercussions of his actions, it’s a reminder for men to reflect on their behavior, especially as Pluto in Aquarius is to start. Aquarius, ruled by Saturn, emphasizes structure, rules, responsibility, fathers, masculinity, and the importance of accountability as well as caring about humanity and the global good. This lesson is especially relevant in the context of patriarchal dynamics, where men often overlook the voices of women. If anyone doubts this, all they have to do is roll the clip. All four dudes were just bro-ing out. Every woman recognized it, and it’s regardless of the dudes’ color or sexual orientation. That’s what made it chef’s kiss.
Saturn and Pluto don’t play. Nor do they negotiate with terrorists. When you don’t follow the rules (the golden ones), they will teach you—but they will also leave gifts when you learn. They aren’t cruel, just structured.
Notably, all three men on the couch are Saturn-ruled: two Capricorns and an Aquarius. I know! The universe wanted to be extra clear on the whole patriarchal BS and to stop steamrolling women, dudes. Listen up. Pluto is going from Capricorn to Aquarius – one level of it ends for another to begin.
Astrology’s Reflection on Patriarchy
The viral clip featuring Ronan serves as a wake-up call. Just because someone can say something doesn’t mean they should. The clip illustrates how even well-meaning individuals can perpetuate harmful behaviors without realizing it. And for gosh sakes, if you are any dude, especially a white British dude, maybe slow your roll on saying ANYTHING before you do a check to see how much of an asshole you are being, lol.
The Importance of Empathy in Conversations
As men in the entertainment industry, including those on the panel, navigate their roles, it’s vital for them to practice empathy and respect. Recognizing the struggle of women is essential for creating a more equitable society. The panel’s dynamic serves as a classic example of how pack mentality can lead to dismissiveness, further emphasizing the need for change.
Now, Mescal is loved. Classic Aquarius as they are people people lol. So in this moment, I’m sure, he is taking a hit to his ego, but he is helping men see their flaw, and for a dude who has had a meteoric rise, it’s a merciful lesson indeed. (They also have huge egos so he’ll bounce back, no doubt.)
Thing is, they clearly heard her in the moment—their silence was loud—but I don’t think any of them realized until playback how they also talked over her and wouldn’t let her speak. That’s another lesson for dudes. Seeing it in action hits the point hard. It’s all classic patriarchy, and that means classic harsh Saturn lessons. Dudes, chill. Embrace the feminine side and stop trying to dominate, hurt people, and miss the point.
Not All Men and Not Me: The Liberal Myth
Now, I imagine all the men on that panel would call themselves thoughtful, caring dudes—dudes who care about women and people struggling and would neeeeever (said in Norton’s voice) do anything to hurt someone, especially women. Yet in that simple clip, they showed how men together—even ones who think they are good—are not. They don’t give way for a woman respectfully; they had a pack mentality that became abusive and domineering. As men jokingly ignore the struggle of half the population, they block safety and security.
This put that on blast.
Pluto in Capricorn and Aquarius: Lessons for Today
With Pluto in Capricorn nearing its end, we are witnessing crucial lessons in masculinity, structure, and social norms. This period marks a time for reflection and rebirth, inviting us to dismantle outdated systems that no longer serve everyone. Pluto is about destruction and rebirth, making way for what serves all. That panel was a lesson in it all. That it featured all dudes of so many different persuasions in a peak colonial empire is the cherry on top.
It was four dudes v one woman. Oooof. Can we please have more chat shows with five women and one guy? Yeah, exactly. (Amazing how discussion and chatting is thought of as women’s things yet men have always had the shows. Notable.)
Do you understand the assignment before Pluto gets into Aquarius? (And Neptune in Aries and Uranus in Gemini next year. ‘Cause right here, this is some merciful water we are in, especially with Saturn in Pisces.) Aquarius being ruled by Saturn means these themes continue, albeit less harshly.
Aquarius is one of the smartest signs of the zodiac, but as we see if its not with heart and thought for all then its an ego move and that will burn more than just the person. Enough of that, yeah?
Pluto and Saturn: Wisdom from Experience
The cosmos is clear. Now, the thing is, Redmayne is a Capricorn, also ruled by Saturn. Pluto is about to end being in that sign on November 19th. So all the Cambridge educated, boss types like him, need to make sure they have learned their lessons. Indeed we all do wherever we have it in our charts.
Aquarians who naturally care about humanity-at-large, have work to do in one key area: one-on-one relationships. The Age of Aquarius is about unity with and for all, but that happens when we are all connected with each other. Closeness and intimacy can be their issue (see the private lives of Abraham Lincoln and Oprah Winfrey). Ego can get in the way.
Heads up: we can think we are doing good, but if it doesn’t serve all—including those close to us—we are missing something. What value is it if we make the world a better place but our home is not?
Finally, there is Denzel, also a Capricorn. As the elder statesman on that couch, a man who knows struggle and pain, having delivered the most poignant tear in the history of cinema, he saw how they all missed the point. Elder statesmen have a role to play, and that means stepping up. Yes, that can mean being silent, but it can also mean not letting a woman stand alone when doing the right thing. Let’s make “be a man” mean standing for the good with heart. Now that’s boss Saturn energy for realsies.
Have We Gotten the Saturn Lessons?
Three smirking Saturn-ruled bro guests on that couch and one brilliant Mars to land a soft punch of empathy, leveling them all. Norton is an Aries. That also tracks. He is known, obviously, in the UK, but this clip blew him up. Though I hope he takes the lesson, especially as a white man of privilege, and doesn’t just egg on people just for laughs. With his platform and reach, and yes, it is entertainment, one always has a responsibility. As with many men of his generation, he’s realizing it isn’t just about laughs between the guys and getting ahead. Think. Don’t be brash about.
Conclusion: Embracing Change for the Future
Saoirse Ronan stands as a beacon of hope and strength, especially in the context of the upcoming elections. As women, particularly white women, rally together, it’s essential to support one another and challenge damaging societal norms.
The astrological influences of this moment remind us of the power we hold when we unite for change. By understanding the lessons of astrology and their implications for our lives, we can foster a more compassionate and equitable world.
The powerful lesson from the clip reminds us that when we amplify women’s voices and hold each other accountable, we can create lasting change and dismantle the structures of patriarchy for all.
