Heathers? Meghan Markle and Blake Lively’s Shared Astrology Wound & Their Social Standing

I wanted to title this The Unlikeable’s but my reader thought it too harsh. (It’s the kind of guidance a six planet Sagittaire needs lol.)

Now, please know I didn’t go looking for this link between these two. I really don’t think about them lol, but they are just so in the news and disliked I was like what is up with this. And then when I discovered they share a key astrological pain point in the same house, I had to write this. Hopefully, they, and others, can learn from this example to heal the wound.

No matter where it’s found, we all have issues around groups and identity and belonging and friendship. Hello, look at our world. We can all be kinder to those we don’t “like” – it’s what we want, too, after all, kindness. In a world fraught with dissension, looking at how we contribute to the hostilities in the world can change things. In a positive way we can learn from each other, and not exacerbate the problem. To that end I write this piece.

Meghan Markle and Blake Lively’s shared astrological aspect suggests ongoing struggles with social groups and personal pain throughout their lives. Everyone sure thinks they are a Heather. Royals have faced growing backlash – even having mud thrown on them – as people question those in high positions and the idea of status is on its head (Hello, Pluto in Capricorn lessons!)

I mean, to someone we are all Heathers, right?? (Don’t pretend you can’t be intentionally bitchy lol. That denial doesn’t play around here 🙂

So let’s look at these two that rub so many people the wrong way (though one is also clearly due to racism so let’s get that clear from the gate. They are not the same, but have similarities.)

Listen, I’m not a fan of them either, lol. But like, how are they hated by so many universally? It’s not logical. So why?! There had to be a reason, so I went to the chart and found it. Glaring. Both of them. Ooof.

Why People Just Don’t Like Meghan Markle and Blake Lively?

Honestly, on paper they should be liked! (Ah, that infamous paper.)

They both have made successes of their lives after following their dreams. That’s something we usually get behind. Yes, are gorgeous, so that green eyes monster lurks, but they also seem like fine people. I mean, Blake has always been into her family and, as a member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants cast, is actually in a famous group of girls known for girl power and supporting each other. Meanwhile, we know working as women involves a lot of BS, and as she’s managed to continue and that *should* be something we admire. Also, dating Dan Humphries, DiCaprio and getting hottie Ryan Reynolds?! We should be like go girl! She has stats of a self-made, pro-woman, patriarchal capitalist thriver. But nope, I just don’t like her is the refrain.

Meanwhile, Meghan made her way through Hollywood to finally nab a good role on an awesome show (Harvey forever!) and did a great job on Suits. That’s awesome! We should like her. (Again, I must say her dislike is far less than the visceral ubiquitous loathing of Lively [sorry girl, but you can change this, we will get to that.] It is also clearly rooted in racism a lot of the time. But, she is still super not liked – and by more than just media and British elite – so we gotta look at it.) I mean, Markle’s got all the stats of someone we do root for – and she made it to fairytale royal status and did it with a tint to her skin! So why don’t people? Halle is beloved and rooted for and supported, same for Taylor Swift, so what’s diff? (I will get to this!) And also, for me, I mean, as a fellow member of the cappuccino club, lol, she should be someone I like and am actively for…but I’ve never been. When I watched the show, I thought she was great but never was for her, you know?

I just didn’t feel her, so I wasn’t for her. Same with Lively. And there lies the(ir) rub.

Labeled phony and fake, actions these two take are thought manipulative. Even when doing good, donating and sharing, trying to relate and connect, people look at them side-eyed, thinking it’s not sincere. It’s… a thing. A disconnect with others. A distance and coldness, a calculating insincerity. Things thought strong in men but in women, not so much.

Chiron in the 11th house is a pain that will lasts and repeats in our lives and so behooves us to know about it and deal with it to heal it. Chiron, as the wounded healer, is something that follows our lives, however, properly addressed it becomes a strength. It transmutes.

The Extreme Hate Meghan Markle and Blake Lively Receive: “I Just Don’t Like Her”

All that said, the outright hate these two get in the press and from people is truly bananas. You’d think they assault children and old people with the level of detest they get. Putin doesn’t get as nasty write-ups as they do in the press, and he is a literal hateful killer of innocents. Again, they are gorgeous and rich and worked to get their success, so yes, jealousy could be part of it… but I mean, Bündchen has all that too, but people don’t dislike her as much, even with all the bananas-out-of-touch things she’s said and done, lol, oof.

The Astrology Behind Their “Unlikability”

The 11th house is called the house of friends. It’s the house of friendships, dreams, and goals. It’s linked with community and the people we have around us. Our social circles, home, work, school, networks. It’s also connected with technology and the future

Chiron is the wounded healer. Where we find it shows where, throughout our lives, we will have a pain point. However, reminder, it’s also where, once we tend to it and heal, it will be a source of power and strength. But still, it will be a pain point.

That they both have Chiron here I was like, “Oh, okay, I get it.” We are all kind of under the auspices of the cosmos to not validate them and be for them because they have to heal something here around friends and community, and social circles, as well as dreams and goals. Their wound point is in this house and, although different signs, it’s a main wound source. We are under the auspices of course, until they change.

How much people dislike them is also notable because we can all see how much they want to be liked. Like, they want it so bad. But the cosmos said, no soup for you. At least, not like they want it. Connecting to the individual is the thing. Sincerity. 11th house challenges they have to overcome.

Chiron in Aries: A Collective Wound Guide for Us All

Right now we are all under Chiron in Aries, as that’s where it’s at. Chiron in Aries is, as one site brilliantly outlines, the wound of self. Who are we? What are we without others’ opinions and support? What do we define ourselves by and why? What matters to us? Who am I? What do I want? What am I going for? It’s deep. (So hello to me and those born with this placement, lol.) It is also one of the hardest placements as it’s about the fundamentals of who a person is. Do you know yourself? However, this period allows us to heal our relationship with ourselves, so we can have happier, healthier, more loving, fulfilled lives. But, healing is a thing. Not easy. Not linear. Not logical. It’s why so many choose to keep the blinders on and not deal.

But that’s not us!

I mention Chiron in Aries now because it a great time for us all to look at our Chiron placements to heal, and thus, connect more to ourselves. That’s what Chiron in Aries helps us to do.

Their Opportunity for Growth

Now, these two have a chance to heal their relationship to community and friends, their reliance on it, but also their part in it being off. Listen, they both need to make extra efforts here. The cold detached thing they give out is not it. The 11th house ruler is Aquarius, which is a detached sign whose challenge according to the Kabbalists is one-on-one relationships. These two are not warm and fuzzy, lol. At all. When they try to engage as a “person” “Mom” “fellow woman” “career woman” it either comes across as fake and insincere, downright bad acting, or even mocking. Their efforts at connection are stiff at best, calculated and manipulative at worst. No idea who is around them, because they clearly could use with some more down-to-earth real talk. But they also have to be open to change. They have to be different in order to make strides here, and it has to be sincere. That means vulnerability, honesty, transparency. (You may think MM would have a hard time with this, but nope, for BL it’s probably painful. She’s got 5 planets in Virgo. She is all about being a Judge Judy and she does it hardest with herself. Her cruelty towards others is noted – I just saw that horrible “joke” she made at Misters expense, oooooof – thing is, she’s worse with herself.)

Case in point: they cannot do some perfectly photoshopped and coiffed Vogue-worthy prep for an interview where they get real with the public. Yes, they will have to do more than others do to make people like them, because that’s where their work lay. They aren’t like Princess Diana or Taylor Swift, or Halle Berry, where people liked and rooted for them despite all the errors and missteps. They have a different cosmic roadmap for their soul, and it lies in their transformation of their pain in the areas of the 11th house. They want to be liked like it’s some item on a checklist for them. Not gonna happen.

Let’s take Halle Berry, who also has this Chiron in 11th house placement (I also accidentally found this connection too, I just wrote her name as someone we root for and then found it lol.) Berry also has Saturn in this house, ooof. That’s actually extra hard as it’s a harder lesson to learn. Thing is, Saturn is a tough teacher, but it gives huge rewards when you do the work. Having two planets of pain and effort here show that she has actually been acutely aware of her need to work on this area, Saturn is the workhorse, so did it more naturally. As she’s a Leo, like Markle and BL’s rising, she is naturally someone people look to – but, she is also someone who tends to do this with more care and sincerity, open hearted, as she had more water in her chart. Her vulnerability has been on display many times in her life, we have all seen how much she’s been through, and it has made us root for her. Even with her gorgeous hot body and Oscar and hot dudes and money lol. Markle has shared some with her interview about her mental health struggles, but it was with Oprah and all airbrushed. However with Lively, nothing at all. They should really call Berry for lessons.

Chiron is About Healing and Patience and Change

They can’t logically sort this out with an action plan – and neither can we. They can’t litigate it. They can’t demand it. They have to do the work in the sign it falls in, with a true desire to change and transform this. You can’t game the cosmos. You can’t buy your way or PR your way. The cosmos does not play. It wants us to have it all, and these challenges are to get us there. On the other side really is all they want, they just have to open to changing. (This is true for us all ,mind you.)

Sincerity is required. Opening their hearts is required. No walls are required. And for them, that’s clearly scary. We know this because they don’t do it and haven’t changed. Well, not yet. Every move is behind screens, whether it’s hair and makeup and a script, or other people talking for them. But that’s the thing, they can’t have a middleman here. They have to do the work. They have to fall and stumble as they heal this pain, but they will find the joy and fulfillment they’ve always wanted. It’s not about a brand. It’s not about a stat of success they tick. It’s about real connection. On the other side of this work, you can fulfill your dreams, achieve your goals, and see the community you’ve always wanted come to life. It’s worth it.

And this is where we find ourselves, because we too do these things and have to change these things. The road may be different but the path is the same for us all. Change through our wounds. We don’t have to make it harder, though. We can give mercy to ourselves and others.
