The Energy of the Super Full Moon

This super full moon during the month of Scorpio highlights our intuition and inner knowing. It connects us with the realms we can’t see but know are there, as they are the source of all that we do see. It’s what we are part of, and so it is us.

Embracing the Taurus Influence

In the sign of Taurus, this moon encourages us to want it all, want it big, and want it with our whole selves. It can be yours! Desire it and build it. Allow it to be created by you, working with the unseen mysteries of life—the source that makes all manifest. Want it, allow it, and build. Repeat.

The Scorpio-Taurus Axis

The Scorpio-Taurus axis is all about money, wealth, truth, health, food, and nourishment. They are polar opposites: one ruled by Mars, the planet of action, and the other by Venus, the planet of receiving. It encompasses the spiritual and emotional needs of life versus the physical needs of life. Both are needed—in balance, of course.

They are also both fiercely strong, with wells to draw upon that defy logic (ah, that intuitive connection with source!) The Scorpion is said to be able to survive a nuclear holocaust and a bull, well, just try and stop one from going and getting what they want. I’ll sit here and watch lol.

It’s what desire. What do you desire?

This axis is about power and intuition. Both signs possess great abilities related to these themes. Are you using yours wisely?

Identifying Imbalances

The full moon will highlight where we aren’t in balance.

  • Where are we too physically focused?
  • Where are we avoiding our emotions and putting them in a file cabinet because they are too complicated?
  • Where are we playing small because we can’t see how it will happen?
  • Where are we not admitting what we want and need from ourselves and this world?

The Shadow Side of Taurus and Scorpio

The shadow side of both is rooted in fear. Taurus can lead a life focused on seeking comfort, never going out to achieve all they could. They choose to stay in whatever situation because “it’s okay and fine, and maybe it would be worse, so it’s best to stay here.”

A Scorpio can be so afraid of pain that they end up hurting themselves by living in a prison of their mind, never experiencing all the love and abundance they could. This full moon is here to break all of that.

Celestial Influences

Especially as we have Mars in Leo—hello, self-esteem and ego in action—as well as the last days of Pluto in Capricorn. It asks: Are you bossing up yet? Or are you following someone else’s protocols?

Then there’s Saturn stationing direct just a few hours before the full moon. Our boundaries are back up and set to build on our Piscean dreams. More earth and water to support our feelings and manifest what we want.

The Call for Our Magic

This comes at a great time, as the world is clearly in need of our magic.

Reflective Questions to ask at this full moon:

  • What is your magic?
  • What are your gifts?
  • How are you using them in this world?
  • What resources do you want?
  • How can you obtain them?
  • Do you feel you deserve to be happy?
  • How are you showing up for yourself? For your community?
  • What dream do you dare not share?
  • How can you take steps to build it?
  • How can you get out of your own way?

We Are in this Together, Friends!

None of us live in a vacuum. In order for us to be able to give to our communities, we first need to be okay. Go inside and see how you are feeling, how you are doing in physical and emotional ways, if you are supported. If you aren’t, ask for help. It is here. Always. All ways.

Love you, my kumquats!
