Virgo means it’s “Back to the Future” season—a time when we can correct our past to change our future. Not bad, eh? Luckily, Virgos love to-do lists and handling things, so let’s roll up our sleeves and get to it.
It’s cause and effect with the cosmos always, and during Virgo season that boomerang is the point: you can actually affect it so you don’t get the bad. How? That’s the power of cleaning, correcting, and refining—skills that Virgos are naturally good at.
People will come back this month. Issues return. Things you thought over…will come back because they are not. It’s time to clean. To deal with stuff. To Virgo our life.

Virgo Vision: The Inner Clean-Up
While quiet, Virgo season is an amazing opportunity and should be taken seriously. It’s a time to look inside, take stock of what we’ve done, make a plan, and take concrete actions to change.
Unlike spring cleaning, which focuses on our physical homes and spaces, Virgo season is about our inner world—our behaviors and actions, taking responsibility, and clearing that up. Where appropriate, reach out to people and apologize for mistakes, make that overdue phone call to clear the air, build bridges. You may not rekindle that relationship, but repairing and clearing an opening can be everything. And yes, that is exactly how you change your future.
(And yes, spring cleaning is in Pisces season, Virgo’s opposite. And so, why do the seemingly opposite action in a season? Well, it should be coming more clearer to you as you spend time around here—but here’s the cheat sheet: the physical is the non-physical and vice versa. Pisces is about the endless and limitless expansion, Virgo is all about the finite and manifesting. Same same but also totally different. How cool is that!?)
Kabbalah 101 on Virgo Season: It’s Clutch
According to the Kabbalists, Virgo season is the last month of the spiritual year. Libra starts the new year for humanity. That makes Virgo the final month—a time of review, taking stock, and making amends where needed.
Ideally, each night we go over our day: where we were wrong, we own up to it, review the errors, redo how it would’ve been done had we been our higher selves, and forgive ourselves and others.
But since we don’t usually do that, there is Virgo season: a cosmic reckoning if you will, which makes sense if you know Virgos. They can act like that speck of dust, spelling error, or thoughtless act was the most important thing in the world because, well, it just may be. What is the weight of love? How do we measure the actions of people?
In Virgo season, we can tip the scales of the coming Libra season by taking responsibility and facing ourselves. Whereas most people think, “It’s no big thing, I can make it up later,” Virgos know that now is everything and putting your heart into it matters—so don’t blow it. They understand the consequences of our actions and don’t want you to miss any light by lazy choices. They strive for perfection because they want to be the best and do the best—because we are here and can, so we should. Falling short of our best efforts has a butterfly effect, and humanity needs all the good it can muster.
Virgos are the earnest kid (in the best sense) who wants to help the teacher, do the dishes at home, and help friends. They want to be of service and help because what is better than that? While all good and noble—and yes, we should all strive to do this—the importance of doing our best and showing up each moment should not overtake our sense of awe, joy, and fun.
Yes, Virgos, lighten up. For everyone else, get on Virgo’s level lol.
So What Is This Time-Travel Portal, Leah?
According to the Kabbalists, in the month of Virgo (Elul), we have a chance to go back in time. By reviewing our actions, literally remembering all the things we wish we could change, the mistakes we made, and facing them, we change the future.
After you assemble your list, go through it. Replay the scenario the better way: What words would you have said? What would you have done? Imagine it different. Replay it in the better way—saying the words of love and care, thinking about the other, sharing more, giving more. See it all the way to the final hug or thanks, either for you or them. Then, forgive yourself and the other. Too simple? Try it.
30 days. Do one a day and see what happens.
It’s interesting to note that a stone linked with Virgo is Sapphire. It’s known for long-range vision. This month, we can see beyond the visible, see what we haven’t, see what we’ve been afraid to see.
Look in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Virgo season is for cleaning up all the messes we’ve made. Inside and out.
Virgo Season Is the Power of the Mind and Speed
Virgo is ruled by Mercury—the fast thinker, the communicator, the problem-solver, the trickster.
This month gives us the ability to figure things out, make fast strides, and take big leaps. We can get far this month, but it requires your honesty, authenticity, and presence.
Virgos will see that little problem, that little blemish, that little error. We ALL have Virgo somewhere in our chart, and this month we will all tap into that energy.
So how can you best use this month? Focus on your own self! Mind your own test lol. Let your boyfriend, mother, bestie, or annoying co-worker deal with their own issues. You have your own to fix, and really, those are the only ones you can. And by taking stock of yourself, you will be amazed how the others in your life suddenly change. We are all mirrors, after all..

“I am my beloved and my beloved is mine” is the guide for this month. The Beloved? The Creator, Universe, G-d—however you want to think about the energy we are part of—that is the magic.
This month we are closest to the Creator. Why? Because this month is all about vision—looking at our flaws, our choices, our actions—and changing them for the better. That much realness and honesty is a lot, so remember we are not alone. I am my beloved and my beloved is mine. Ponder it…
